Technology often brings new opportunities and tools, particularly for industries and sectors that have been around for a long time. Education is no exception. So what’s out there to get parents and teachers communicating beyond brief after-school chats and Parents Evening? We did some research and spoke to some teachers to find out.
Digital transformation covers a range of aspects and ideas. Ultimately it’s about improving our business by introducing digital tools or approaches to your usual way of doing things. It’s something that should be approached with caution – not everything needs a digital overhaul.
We’ve taken a look at the subject and spoken to some people who have taken on digital transformation themselves.
Whether it’s purchasing clothing or ordering a takeaway, it’s no longer unusual to have a conversation with a robot. With more bots now incorporating Facebook Messenger, the technology is becoming increasingly sophisticated.
Messenger bots can be used to answer your questions and direct you towards items when you are unsure of what to choose, but what about for big purchases such as buying a house?
We are pleased to launch three new animated videos that explain the benefits of our most popular services.
James Spencer, Director at Systems Technology, said, “We know all too well that despite our services being hugely beneficial to organisations of all sizes, the topics themselves can be a little dry. Our ‘little blue men’ are here to inform, entertain and help our visitors understand how we can help their businesses.”
With the increased reliance and necessity of having mobile computing, it’s no wonder that a BYOD (Bring your Own Device) policy has become quite popular with many companies. The cost and inherent difficulty for IT departments to keep up with every technological shift has made employees yearn for their own devices.
From laptops to tablets to smart phones, it can be hugely beneficial for employees to be able to work on the device of their choosing. The familiarity, advanced technology, and accessibility of modern mobile devices are empowering employees to do their best work.
However not every aspect of a BYOD policy is a no brainer. Arguably the biggest drawback is the security risks that come along with employees using their own devices.
Sponsoring youth football teams is somewhat of a tradition at Systems Technology. In fact, we sponsored our first team back in 1989. Our latest beneficiary is the under 13’s team of Rising Stars Youth FC.
Rising Stars Youth FC was set up in 2014, based in Whitstable, Kent. Since then, the young club has been awarded FA Charter Standard status during its first season and in May 2016 won the prestigious Kent FA McDonald’s Charter Standard Club Award.
Keen to discover how our team is doing, we caught up with its coach, Stuart Watts, who was quietly confident about the team’s chances this season.
We are delighted to announce that Systems Technology will be exhibiting at this year’s Legalex at London’s Excel Centre.
The event is a must for future focused lawyers and ambitious law firms who are looking to innovate and grow their business in an increasingly competitive and challenging legal market.

1991, what a year. Tim Berners-Lee introduced the human race to the World Wide Web. Bryan Adams had a record-breaking run at #1 with ‘(Everything I Do) I Do IT for You’. And an engineer called Lee Dennis joined a small but ambitious photocopier dealership in Rochester called Systems Technology.
Little did we know that 25 years on we would be celebrating his 25th year at the company – and four of those as Service Manager. From all the team, we wish you huge congratulations, Lee!
We spoke to our London Team Leader, Robert Impey, who was mentored by Lee and knows him best.
What better way to wrap up 2016 than with two successful events? We held our Tomorrow’s World events at our Kent Head Office on 30th November, and at Ricoh’s London showroom in The Broadgate Tower on 7th December.
At Systems Technology, we realise that technology and working practices are changing all the time and keeping up with them can be a pressure. This is why we hold free learning events throughout the year, to keep our clients up to speed with the latest technology trends, and how they can benefit.
Here’s a run-down of what took place.
It’s Halloween, and our Rochester team were in a frightful mood! Our usually calm team members transformed into an Evil Queen, a Vampiress, a Zombie Cheerleader, a Killer Scarecrow, a Scary Moth, a Frankenmonster, a Skeleton and a Devilish Bat. Our Managing Director, Zana Gradus, joined in the fun too – leading by example in her bewitching outfit.
